it does contains the iteration number with some random value...trying to understand what is the role of this file while running the vugen???...generally it get updated at run time ..when logs are enabled

yes correct!! but what happens sometime when we run n number of iteration in Vugen and it through error stating unable to link to this file and your iteration getting failed onwards...so, what causes to make this error??

Sounds like you perhaps are running the script without being saved yet? Or maybe you downloaded from PC and it's running active from the temp folder and you have some permissions issues on the folder area? One thing you can try is to create a folder on your root level ie C:\Scripts and SAVE the script there. then exit vugen then reopen the script from that folder. OR if using PC download the script then save locally to filesystem in that new folder. and try again from that. When using PC to get around odd perms issues with temp folders you can also set your system and user temp and tmp folders in your windows environment settings to a C:\temp or whatever then that way it will override the often system protected default areas which companies love to encrypt or lock down.

ctrl sync.dat file is to auto sync the data. this file usually will create when you deal with auto apps update in browser level or windows updates or mobile applications. pls disable firewall, DEP and windows updates. it will never create that file at runtime.
