why events are not recording while using the Protocol advisor.what could be reason and typically it could not be allow to alter the any recording option while generating the script with protocol advisor. please let me know asap

Could be a lot of things, SP. Anti-virus, Intrusion-protection software, hooking into the wrong process/application, permissions, black holes... I would start with explaining what kind of application you are trying to record, and how it communicates (which you should attempt to know if you are going to test that app).
