APAC Performance Engineer
As a Performance Engineer, you will be able to put a mark on Flow Traders’ core business. We have a multidisciplinary department that investigates latency on network, machine, trading systems or on exchange level, both in production as well as in our lab. On a daily basis, you will investigate latency issues and bottlenecks and actively advise our Trading departments on recommended technology setups. In close cooperation with Flow Traders’ Exchanges and Trade Support Team you will help implement improvements for trading. Additionally, you advise on structural improvements, participate in projects, and monitor trends within your area of expertise to capitalize on the opportunities of new technologies.

Your Technical Profile:
- BSc or MSc in Computing Science/ engineering or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience
- Experience working in an open source technical environment (Strong Linux knowledge)
- Extensive scripting experience in Python, Perl, Bash and / or Shell Experience
- Experience with a trading infrastructure and knowledge of professional trading systems is a plus
- Experience in working with various application (kernel) benchmarking frameworks and profiling tools
- Experience in network performance benchmarking
- Strong background in statistics
- Knowledge of C++/Java profiling is a plus
- Knowledge of Kernel hacking is a big plus
- Experience with Trading Exchanges connectivity is a plus
