Should a decent performance tester focus on growing himself on the performance testing skills or should eventually try to get into a performance engineer role? I think effective performance testing is as challenging as performance engineering! Now a days customers expect you to be good at both..is that a realistic expectation? Development Background is sometimes essential for effective performance engineering. Also..what is the ideal career path for a performance tester?
