Is Performance Center 12.53 to be installed over 12.50 as an upgrade or can it be installed stand alone without a previous version being present?

I just ran the install last week and it handled the installation by itself. I seem to remember a screen saying previous version detected. I think it does a remove and reinstall. I'll be installing PC tomorrow. I'm told that it's an uninstall/reinstall for PC.

12.53 PC has to be installed freshly, its not an upgrade for 12.5X Scott Moore
