I am unable to record the script in JMeter Below is a short description 1.i am able to access the home page manually through firefox (proxy not configured to localhost) 2. As soon as i configure the proxy to localhost and then try to hit the url on browser(firefox) ,i get a error message on browser "connection refused to host" and connection timeout Pls suggest!

I am not an expert in Jmeter, however looks like the local host is not actually your host. check your etc/hosts file and confirm that "localhost" is pointing ur machine.

easy turn arround First open the browser with proxy that works to open the website( may be official proxy of your network) then start the Jmeter proxy now change IE proxy to Jmeter proxy. hit to reload/refresh the webpage

use IP address of your machine. avoid localhost

Browser port and jmeter Port shoulbe same then only u will be able to do

Ramesh Soolam port is same! I ve tried with 8090, 8081...

Can any one please tell me how to overcome that "connection refused to host error"..Still am facing this issue...even I tried all above method..

For Http is working fine ..if https not working...any workaround is there?? am using Firefox 33.1 Version for Jmeter 2.11..Please suggest

Is https supported by the wev app? If yes u may also try importing ca certificate created by jmeter on the fly..ie when u turn on the proxy
