hi guyz , i am new to HP LOAD RUNNER i want to learn recording the scripts and play it back with want to learn SCRIPTS (sockets and all ) can i download a LR software only controller part anywhere ??? pls help me out ?

You can not just download it for education purposes, legally. Suggest you sign up for a class, there you would get the exposure you want and have the ability to ask questions (and get answers).

Well, that would be a good start. Not exactly legal from a EULA prospective. If you do that, and I am not recommending you violate the law, you should take time to read the documentation.
