Hi Friends, How to identify which protocol should be used while recording script in Vugen ? I have to record one script for application whose url ends with .jsp. I have tried with Web http/html.. but nothing gets recorded in action. I am using LR Vugen 11.50 , IE Version 8. I am also not sure if Vugen 11.50 supports IE 8 or not. Please suggest.

Rajeswari Donekal, yes, but another issue arised, now nothing gets recorded ..even events are not counting.. :(

few conditions to be checked if u have encountered this kind of error 1. Based on your System requirements 2. Browser compatibility Solution 1. have you tried with different browsers? 2. have you tried with WinInet level data in recording option(Network->Port Mpping) instead of socket level? 3. try to open Vugen using run as command as follows 3a. Open command prompt using "Start -> Run -> "cmd" (enter). 3b. Go to the folder which has your VUGen exe. Usually it is placed in the location "C:\Program Files\HP\LoadRunner\bin". 3c. Type the command "runas.exe /user:blog\User1 vugen.exe" to launch the VUGen.exe as the User1. Once prompted for password. Enter the password for User1. 4. if u dont succeed in above steps, try re-installing VuGen!
