Had anyone done performance testing on websites contains bids,auctions please specify................which tool u used for pt and analysis
 
I will suggest to use LR as it handles various types of calls. It will be tedious to handle the Ajax calls which will be dependent of third party request. Let me know the application architecture to help in you in better way...
