Dear All! I have just studied Jmeter. I'm a beginner about Jmeter, and now, I have a problem with Jmeter: If I run Jmeter with 5000 virtual users, What's require for hardware(RAM, CPU.....) and how to configure in file Jmeter.bath and jmeter.properties Hope you will help me for this problem. It depends on the database interaction and insertion of data...jmeter will consume lot of space 4gb ram 500gb hard disk configuration is fine to run 5000 users if site loading fast. If you still get jmeter hanging try with cmd prompt even jmeter hanging try distributed testing

It is based on your complexity of scripts, if you are running the scripts which will consume large amount of local heap memory then you need to run with less number of virtual users

Also try to reduce the listeners as they too consume large heap memory
