Responsibilities:

• The Performance Test Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, executing, analyzing performance tests and reporting performance defects.
• Design and implement performance test, scalability, stability, and stress tests using industry standard tools and custom developed software written in Gatling/scala
• Ability to distill volumes of data, analyses performance results, and diagnose performance problems
• Contribute performance tunings and refactoring on the entire stack of the Coupa platform
• Be an evangelist for performance engineering best practices and tools
• Work in an agile environment where quick iterations and good feedback are a way of life
• Continually look for opportunities to improve our platform, process, and business
• Analyse and debug difficult server performance issues, identify bottlenecks and optimize product/service performance to improve the user experience.

Requirements:

• Must have 1 -3 years of experience in performance testing/engineering.
• Must have experience in Gatling/Scala/ Groovy/jmeter
• Working knowledge of application profiling tools (NewRelic/DynaTrace/App dynamics)
• Programming languages (e.g., Ruby/Scala/Java)
• Exposure to the database (MySql/Oracle)
• Scripting languages (e.g, shell scripts)
• OS (CentOs/Linux)
• Exposure in setting up and executing load tests in Jenkins CI tool
• Experience in Performance Analysis and troubleshooting performance issues.
• Defect Tracking and Test Management Tools (Jira, Bugzilla, ClearQuest, Quality Center, Testlink, Mantis, or any similar tool)
• Good to have experience in creating and executing distributed load tests using the cloud (AWS/ Azure)
• Good to have troubleshooting performance issues at application, platform, and infrastructure
• Must possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them accurately to an evolving, dynamic environment
• Great communication and collaborative
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
